80th Anniversary

At RSCDS (Birmingham) branch, we are celebrating our 80th anniversary in 2026. 

We are delighted to invite you to join the celebrations at our Anniversary Celebration Ball in June 2026.

13th June 2026 - RSCDS Birmingham 80th Anniversary Celebration Ball

DANCING TO MARIAN ANDERSON & HER BAND

Where: National Motorcycle Museum, Coventry Road, Bickenhill, Solihull B92 0EJ (Exit 6 of M42) (Click here for Google maps location)

When: 6.30pm reception for 7.00pm.  Carriages at midnight.

Tickets: £50 to include 2-course dinner, £45 if paid by 28 February 2026 .  To reserve your tickets, please email rscdsbrumball@btinternet.com

The evening will include a 2-course dinner and dancing to live music from Marian Anderson and her Band.  Evening dress preferred.

DANCE COMPETITION

We are also celebrating RSCDS Birmingham’s 80th anniversary in 2026 with a special dance-devising competition. We invite all current and former members to create a new Scottish country dance in quick time.  The closing date for the competition is 30 September 2025, so there's still time to get your devising hats on!

To enter the competition, devise a Scottish Country Dance in quick time, and send your dance to rscdsbrum80@btinternet.com

The prize will be a ticket to our Anniversary Ball on Saturday 13 June 2026.

All entries will be taught, danced and assessed, and the winning dance will be performed for the very first time at the Anniversary Celebration Ball. It will also be published with full instructions and a video.
