Learning Scottish country dancing
Our branch classes
Each of the classes below is taught by a qualified RSCDS teacher and provides the opportunity to progress from beginner to intermediate and advanced level dancing. Once new dancers have gained sufficient confidence, they are encouraged to take part in our Social Dances where all dances are walked through. We also hold our Annual Ball for more experienced dancers and a Nice 'n' Easy Social especially for newer dancers. For more details, see our Events Page.

ANNUAL WORKSHOP
Every year, on the first Saturday in March, we hold an Afternoon workshop when two classes are held, one in Basic Technique for less experienced dancers and an Intermediate Class for more experienced dancers. The classes are followed by tea and an Evening Dance. More details will appear on our Events Page.
You can find information about other RSCDS classes and affiliated groups in our area on the contact page.
WORKSHOPS
From time to time we run taster sessions for those wishing to try Scottish country dancing for the first time. No previous experience is required and there’s no commitment to come along again. You don’t need to bring a partner or any special kit, just yourself and some comfortable shoes.
If you would like to be added to our mailing list to receive details of future workshops, please email workshops@birmingham-rscds.org.uk or call Nicola Scott on 07986 543132.
