Demonstrations

The main aim of the RSCDS Birmingham Demonstration Team is to promote Scottish Country Dancing and its music around the West Midlands area.

We have performed in front of a variety of audiences at all sorts of events, including Burns Night celebrations, weddings and festivals. To get a flavour of what we do have a look at the videos on this page.

We can provide demonstrations of Scottish Country Dancing and opportunities for audience participation too, so you needn't feel left out.

Our demonstration team is usually busy in January and February, performing at Burns Suppers across the region!

Members of the team have also provided workshops for schools and youth groups, so if you'd like your youngsters to try out some Scottish Country Dancing, then get in touch!

Our demonstration group meets regularly from September to June to prepare for forthcoming events at which we have been invited to perform. As well as providing the challenge of learning new dance routines with others of a similar standard, it is also great fun! We are always on the lookout for suitably proficient dancers who would like to join the team.
